Teaching organisation
In the general and professional courses, students are divided into three levels:
Level II : Intermediate
Level III: experienced
Level IV: Advanced
The student, at the beginning of the year, after audition, is integrated in one of the three levels. An initiation course (Level I) composed of upgrading activities is proposed to all the students whom did not pass the test for the two graduating courses (general course and professional course). Despite the regular assessments, two compulsory tests will occur, one at the middle of the year, and another one at the end of the year. Through those assessments, the student will be able to get a certificate to pass to the superior level. The JAM courses prepare to a diploma called “Diplôme d’Artiste Musicien Interprète des Musiques Actuelles” (MIMA). After the authorisation of the Educational Director, students from experienced or advanced level will be able to enrol the FNEIJMA Certificate (Fédération Nationale des Ecoles d’Influence Jazz et Musiques Actuelles). It is a certificate of performer musician artist of contemporary music registered in the National Repertory of Professional Certifications (RNCP), attesting the professional abilities of the candidate both in theoretical knowledge, individual and group instrument practice. |
